Can we use bikes around the park?
Please follow the same strict rules you would outside the park. We strongly advise that, for your protection, if you or any member of your family or guests use or ride bicycles, skateboards, scooters or heelies; please wear helmets and reflective clothing.
Holiday Break Questions
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. Tilford Woods is a pet friendly park. Some of our Sturt, Falkner, Hawthorn and Cobbett lodges accept pets. Please let the team know at the time of your booking to ensure that we can allocate you a pet friendly lodge.
Can I park next to my lodge?
Yes. Every lodge has at least one designated parking space next to, or very close by your lodge.
What games console is in the lodge?
There’s a Nintendo Wii console in every lodge with games available to hire at reception. DVD hire options are also available.

What time is check-in?
Check in is from 4pm
Will my lodge have a hot tub and sauna?
Our Falkner and Cobbett lodges both feature saunas. The Cobbett also boasts a private outdoor hot tub!
How far away is Farnham from Tilford?
Farnham is approximately 4 miles from Tilford Woods, which is around a 10 minute drive.
How long is the park open?
Tilford Woods is open all year round.
Is there WiFi at Tilford Woods?
Yes. Each lodge is issued with a WiFi code for free access to our WiFi.
What does my lodge come with?
Each of our luxurious timber-clad lodges has a designated parking space, a veranda with seating, fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and fridge-freezer, a dining area, TV with FreeSat and DVD player, under-floor heating, towels and bed linen.
What is Darwin Escapes’ Dog Policy?
We’re pet-friendly, but do have a few rules to ensure the park can be enjoyed by pet-owners and non-pet-owners alike.
We ask that no dogs, pets, or animals of any kind may occupy a non pet unit without the prior permission of the Park Manager. (This can be achieved by including your pet on your booking form to ensure you are allocated a pet-friendly unit).
a. Where allowed, all pets must at all times be kept under proper control and must not enter any facility building. (excluding guide dogs)
b. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times (unless in the dedicated dog areas) and prevented from fouling.
c. All fouling should be disposed of immediately in an appropriate manner.
d. In accordance with the Dangerous Dog Act 1991, the following breeds of dog are not permitted anywhere on the park at any time: Pit-bull Terrier Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero as well as any other breed at the Park Manager’s discretion.
What is phone signal like at Tilford Woods?
Phone signal can be inconsistent inside your lodge and on park and will vary between devices and network.
What is there to do at Tilford Woods?
Tilford plays host to some of the best walking routes that the UK has to offer, some quaint nearby villages and even places you within striking distance of Thorpe Park. Furthermore, Tilford Woods can be used as a base for those looking to visit the popular attractions of the Harry Potter Studios, Ascot Racecourse and Legoland.
