Can we use bikes around the park?
Please follow the same strict rules you would outside the park. We strongly advise that, for your protection, if you or any member of your family or guests use or ride bicycles, skateboards, scooters or heelies; please wear helmets and reflective clothing.
How do I get to Swanage Bay View Holiday Home Park?
There are 2 main routes in to Swanage, you can either take the ferry from Sandbanks or the A351 through Corfe Castle.
How many caravans are there at Swanage Bay View?
We currently have 280 holiday homes and lodges at Swanage Bay View Holiday Home Park.
Is Swanage Bay View open all year?
No. Swanage Bay View is open 46 weeks of the year as we are a non-residential holiday park.
What time does the gym open?
The standard opening times for our gym are as follows:
Monday – Saturday 7.30am – 10.00pm
Sunday 8.30am – 8pm

Can I bring our dog to Swanage Bay View?

What is there to do near Swanage Bay View?
Swanage Bay View offers a fantastic base to explore a plethora of Dorset’s finest beaches including Studland, Sandbanks, Bournemouth and the world famous Swanage beach. Whilst exploring the rich environment that Dorset has to offer, be sure to keep an eye out for some of the rare birds and reptiles that have made Dorset their home. Can I get a mortgage on a lodge?
No. As they are sold with a licence as opposed to a lease you cannot secure a mortgage on our lodge holiday homes.
Can I rent my holiday home out?
Yes, as a lodge owner you may choose to put your lodge into our fully flexible and fully managed letting scheme to generate an income when you and your friends and family aren’t making use of it. However we do enforce a 7 year age limit on sublet accommodation to maintain a set level of quality for holiday customers.
Can my family and friends use my caravan?
Yes. Named passes for friends and family can be requested up to the amount of people your holiday home or lodge is eligible to hold. Any persons using your holiday home other then yourselves will need to sign in to reception on arrival.
Do you take touring caravans or motorhomes in part exchange?
Yes, part-exchange packages are available regardless of your tourer’s age or condition. We can even offer part-exchange packages with an existing static caravan or lodge that is sited on another company’s holiday park.
How long can I keep my holiday home or lodge at Swanage Bay View?
All of our new holiday homes and lodges come with a 10 year tenure which is then subject to yearly checks to ensure that the unit is clean externally and meets all safety requirements. Providing your holiday home or lodge meets these requirements, your holiday home or lodge is eligible to stay at Swanage Bay View for as long as you wish.
How long will my holiday home or lodge last?
Subject to simple maintenance such as keeping rainwater guttering clear of debris, our lodges are capable of lasting quite literally a lifetime. All our holiday homes and lodges are built in the UK and have been constructed in order to ensure ultra low maintenance and durability without compromising the longevity of the lodge’s aesthetic appearance and performance.
Is it easy to get finance on a lodge?
Yes. From just a 20% cash deposit we can (subject to status) offer very competitive fixed rate finance packages which can be taken out over terms as long as 15 years.

What if I want to sell my lodge in the future?
You may sell your lodge should you wish to, providing the persons that you sell to are buying the lodge for holiday use and not residential use. You can sell your lodge privately or instruct an estate agent, although the whole process of selling your lodge must go through Swanage Bay View Holiday Home Park.
What is Darwin Escapes’ Dog Policy?
We’re pet-friendly, but do have a few rules to ensure the park can be enjoyed by pet-owners and non-pet-owners alike.
We ask that no dogs, pets, or animals of any kind may occupy a non pet unit without the prior permission of the Park Manager. (This can be achieved by including your pet on your booking form to ensure you are allocated a pet-friendly unit).
a. Where allowed, all pets must at all times be kept under proper control and must not enter any facility building. (excluding guide dogs)
b. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times (unless in the dedicated dog areas) and prevented from fouling.
c. All fouling should be disposed of immediately in an appropriate manner.
d. In accordance with the Dangerous Dog Act 1991, the following breeds of dog are not permitted anywhere on the park at any time: Pit-bull Terrier Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero as well as any other breed at the Park Manager’s discretion.
