Recommended Local Attractions

Famous Castles

Rhuddlan castle

Rhuddlan Castle is just a few miles away

Famous for its castles, visitors flock from far and wide to appreciate Wales’ splendid heritage. Owning your own holiday home at New Pines means all this is right on your doorstep. Popular Caenarfon and Conwy should definitely be on your to do list, but we’d also recommend the lesser known Ewloe Castle and impressive Bodelwyddan Castle. Aside from all these, there’s even more gems of the past to uncover; just 13 miles away is Greenfield Heritage Park, which is home to a collection of original and reconstructed buildings amongst stunning greenery – a fabulous day out for the whole family. Further afield there’s the striking Plas Newydd on the Isle of Anglesey – a beautiful property on the shores of the Menai Strait, housing a fine art collection.

Golden Sands

Talacre Beach Lighthouse

Talacre beach and dunes are a must-see.

Just 3 miles from the golden sands of Rhyl, New Pines is the perfect location for family beach holidays. Popular for generations, North Wales’ seaside is a destination for many; whether you want to paddle at the water’s edge, build a sandcastle, take a stroll along the promenade or even try kite surfing – there’s so much to do. Don’t miss out on other fantastic beach locations only a short drive away, including the dunes and lighthouse at Talacre, the ever popular Criccieth and the magnificent resort of Llandudno, with its remarkable Victorian sea front, shops, pier and famous Orme.

Snowdonia National Park

Snowdonia in North Wales

Visit specatular Snowdonia

Within 30 minutes of New Pines Holiday Home Park, you can be in magnificent Snowdonia National Park and enjoying unrivalled vistas; venture further inland and find a host of activities including water sports, cycling, and walking, as well as some beautiful villages. In this beautiful area we’d recommend visiting: beautiful Portmadog for its great shopping and harbour, Dolgellau for its heritage and great places to eat, and Blaenau Ffestiniog for its world famous railway and slate mines. Golf lovers will be spoilt for choice, as there are no less than nine golf courses within a 20-minute radius! Whatever your hobby – there’s something for you nearby.
