How do I get to Hawkchurch Resort & Spa by car?
If you are travelling along the M5, then at junction 25 you should take the A258 exit heading towards Taunton, Honiton, Yeovil and Weymouth. Take the exit on the roundabout signposted for Yeovil (A358) and Weymouth (A37).
Follow the road for approximately nine miles until you reach another roundabout where you should take the 4th exit signposted for the Chard Services (A358). Continue for another five miles before taking the 2nd exit onto Millfield and continue along the A358 for approximately two miles until turning left onto Broom Lane.
Continue down this lane for about a mile until you see a signpost for Hawkchurch/Axminster. Continue to follow the signs for Hawkchurch as you follow this lane onto Hawkchurch Road. At the end of Hawkchurch Road you should take a right turn onto Wareham Road and continue to follow this road until you see the signpost for Hawkchurch Resort & Spa.
How far away is the closest train station?
The closest train station to Hawkchurch is in the centre of Axminster which is approximately 5 miles away from our resort. Bus and taxi services are available from this point.
Is there a bus stop located near Hawkchurch Resort?
There is a bus stop located on Wareham Road which runs past the park on Blackpool Corner.
Is there Wi-Fi internet access available at Hawkchurch Resort & Spa?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi internet access is provided as standard for both holiday home owners and holiday makers at Hawkchurch.
What is the Dog Policy at the park?
Hawkchurch is a pet friendly holiday park, but we of course need to make sure that the resort can be enjoyed equally by non-pet and pet owners.
We request that no animals of any kind occupy a holiday lodge which has not been allocated to pet owners without the prior permission of the resort manager. Help us to ensure this by including your pet on your holiday booking so that our staff can make sure that you are allocated the correct lodge.
Other rules to bear in mind for dog owners who are holiday home owners or holiday makers staying at Hawkchurch:
- Where allowed, all pets must at all times be kept under proper control and must not enter any facility building. (excluding guide dogs)
- Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times (unless in the dedicated dog areas) and prevented from fouling.
- All fouling should be disposed of immediately in an appropriate manner.
- In accordance with the Dangerous Dog Act 1991, the following breeds of dog are not permitted anywhere on the park at any time: Pit-bull Terrier Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero as well as any other breed at the Park Manager’s discretion.
What is the policy regarding pets at Hawkchurch?
Hawkchurch Resort & Spa is the ideal destination for pet friendly holidays in Devon with a large number of holiday lodges set aside for pet owners who are planning on bringing their furry friends along with them to the resort. One of these units, the Austen Premier Lodge, even has its own private hot tub facilities.
However, please make us aware if you are going to be bringing a pet with you on holiday to Hawkchurch Resort so that we can ensure that you are given a pet friendly lodge.
Holiday Home Owners at Hawkchurch are also permitted pets, but please refer to our policies regarding dogs to ensure that your particular dog will be allowed on park.
What time is check-in at Hawkchurch?
Check-in for holiday makers staying at Hawkchurch Resort & Spa is from 4pm. However, if you would like to arrange a different check-in time or don’t believe you will be able to make it before reception closes at 7pm, then please call our reception staff on 01297 678402 and they will do their utmost to find a solution for you if we are given prior notice.
Holiday Break Questions
Are towels provided for all holiday makers staying at Hawkchurch?
We leave no stone unturned in our efforts to ensure that you enjoy a luxurious holiday in Axminster at our tranquil resort. As part of this, towels are of course provided as in all holiday lodges.
What facilities can I expect in my holiday Lodge?
All of our lodges are heavily equipped with the latest technology features including Smart TVs and of course complimentary Wi-Fi access for all guests.
The lodges are also ideal for self catering breaks, with full kitchen facilities featuring all the utilities and utensils you will need to be self sufficient during your holiday with us. Lodges also feature their own dishwashers and washer/dryer facilities. You won’t want to leave once your experienced our comfortable bedding, while the other furnishings are also designed to be stylish without compromising your comfort.
Will I have a freezer in my holiday lodge?
All of our holiday lodges are equipped with fridge freezers.
Can I choose the location of my holiday home?
Absolutely. Please feel free to book a park visit where you can look around the resort and find the plot that is ideal for you.
Can I get a mortgage on a holiday lodge?
No, because lodges are sold with a licence rather than a lease you will be unable to secure a mortgage on them. However, there are a number of finance packages available to ensure affordable monthly repayments which cost far less than many assume.
How long will a holiday lodge last?
As long as regular maintenance is carried out and the lodge is well looked after, it could literally last a lifetime.
How much are the site fees at Hawkchurch?
The annual site fees start from just £5,295 which provides you with access to our wonderful facilities in a glorious setting.
Is Hawkchurch Resort open all year round?
Yes, Hawkchurch is open 12 months a year for both holiday home owners and holiday makers.
What is included in my site fees?
The site fees will guarantee you with access to many of our facilities completely free of charge throughout the year regardless of how many times you stay. They will also cover the costs of maintain these facilities as well as the grounds and gardens around. This is without mentioning the Free Wi-Fi and much more. Please enquire for more details.
Would I be able to sell my lodge at a later date?
Yes, you are able to sell you lodge on at a later date providing you are selling it for holiday use and not residential. You may decide to do this privately or via an estate agent, but this process must go through Hawkchurch Resort & Spa. Our staff are happy to answer any questions you might have should you be considering this so that you can benefit from our experience in the process to make things that little bit easier.
Are there any job vacancies at Hawkchurch?

Can you have BBQs in your lodge at Hawkchurch?
Unfortunately not. Safety is our top priority at Hawkchurch Resort & Spa and as such private BBQs are not permitted due to the potential fire risk they represent.
Am I able to arrange private functions and events in Axminster?
Yes, we are able to arrange personalised private functions and events in Axminster at our resort. Get in touch to discuss our event packages to cover small groups of up to 16 people regardless of whether you are looking for christenings, wakes, parties or general family functions.
Are children allowed in the pool?
The pool at Hawkchurch Resort & Spa is actually a specially designed hydrotherapy pool aimed to aiding relaxation and releasing muscle tension. As such, there is a 16 years and over age policy in place on use of the pool.
Are there corporate function facilities at Hawkchurch?
Yes, Hawkchurch is part of the Darwin Business portfolio and as such does offer corporate conferencing facilities in Axminster complete with free Wi-Fi and access to the audio/visual equipment in a function room for presentations. Is The Beeches Restaurant open to non-residents?
Yes, the Beeches Restaurant is open to members of the public as well as those staying at Hawkchurch Resort & Spa. We are aiming to establish The Beeches as one of the finest restaurants in the area.
Is the Ezina Spa at Hawkchurch Resort open to non-residents?
Yes, non-residents can take advantage of the Ezina Spa. Simply call 01297 678402 to arrange for treatments or therapies at our luxury new complex. It is also recommended that those staying on park book treatments ahead of time to avoid disappointment given a timeslot given the popularity of our service.
Is the Hawkchurch Resort & Spa gym open to non-residents?
Yes, the Gym at Hawkchurch is open to members of the public as well as holiday home owners and holiday makers staying at the resort.

What are the opening hours of The Beeches Restaurant?
The opening hours of The Beeches Restaurant in Axminster are:
