Gorgeous Canterbury Lodges

So what makes Canterbury Reach Lodge Retreat different from other resorts in the region? The answer to that is simple; our beautiful lodges and the surrounding scenery.

Our lodges in Canterbury are up to the impeccably high standards you would expect at a Darwin Escapes resort with full self catering facilities and a range of luxuries to ensure that your stay with us is a comfortable one.

There are a number of high quality restaurants in the surrounding area, but if you want to take it upon yourself to cook meals then you will find everything you need inside your luxury lodge accommodation, with full kitchen facilities which include ovens, fridge freezers and everything you will need to cook breakfast including toasters and kettles.

It’s not all hard work though, because there are a range of entertainment options on offer in your lodge to ensure you never run out of things to do no matter what the weather is like outside. This includes high-tech TVs, DVD players and also Wi-Fi access. These can be enjoyed from our comfortable furnishings, with stylish sofas and luxury beds also on offer to ensure you have a great nights sleep. Our lodges really are top of range and with the beautiful Kent countryside as a backdrop, this really is the perfect setting for romantic Canterbury holidays.

Pets are also welcome at our resort, and we have a number of Canterbury lodges allocated specifically for anyone looking for pet friendly breaks to ensure that you don’t have to worry about leaving your furry friend at home.

Things to do in & around Canterbury

There are plenty of attractions in Canterbury itself, with things to do for people of all ages ensuring that you will never get bored. Our resort is perfectly located to give you easy access to these attractions including the nearby Canterbury Cathedral which is one of the most famous Christian structures in the country as well as being a World Heritage Site. The cathedral was founded in the 4th century by Saint Augustine with the current gothic styling being courtesy of a rebuild following a fire in 1174. The cathedral is now one of the most visited attractions in the region thanks to its stunning architecture, historic collections and monuments, as well as its informative tour guides.

You can also take advantage of the river boat tours which are on offer from the Kings Bridge close to the cathedral. This Visit England accredited attraction recently won bronze in ‘Tourism Experience of the Year’ category at the Beautiful South Awards. The tour guide will provide commentary highlighting the history of some of the buildings and structures in this glorious city, taking in Marlow Theatre, The Abbotts Mill and many more.

Shopping enthusiasts are also in for a treat in Whitefriars shopping centre which feature many household names. All of these attractions are within easy reach from our resort, making it the perfect destination for Canterbury holidays.
