How do I get to Bath Mill Lodge Retreat?
Follow the A4 along Bath Road/Bristol Road until you reach a roundabout with three exits, one going to Bath (A4) / Twerton (A36) and another being towards Combe Down and Newton St Loe. Take this exit towards Newton St Loe and go straight down Pennyquick road for just over a mile. You will then see signposts to take a left turn towards our luxury resort or set your satnav to postcode: BA2 9JF.
How far is Bath Mill Lodge Retreat from Bath city centre?
Bath Mill is located just ten minutes away from Bath city centre, making it the perfect destination for Bath city breaks for anyone who isn’t so keen on the prospect of staying in a busy city centre hotel.
There are plenty of places to park in Bath city centre as well, but if you would prefer to leave the car on park, there is also a scenic walk directly into the city to be enjoyed when you take a stroll along the Newton Brook which runs past the resort.
How much does it cost to get a taxi into Bath city centre from our resort?
It usually costs around £10.00 for a taxi directly into the city centre.
Is there a bus stop located close to the Bath Mill?
There is a bus stop located close to the park entrance. On weekdays buses run every 15 minutes directly into the city centre.
What is the nearest train station to Bath Mill?
The nearest train station to Bath Mill Lodge Retreat is Oldfield Park Station which is around 2.2 miles away from our resort. Ordinarily, car journeys to the resort from here will take 8 minutes.

Are there many scenic walking routes to be enjoyed in the local area?
Bath Mill Lodge Retreat is located in an idyllic part of the Somerset countryside, with a plethora of scenic walking routes to be enjoyed around the area including the walk along the Newton Brook directly into the city centre.

Are towels provided at Bath Mill?
Towels are provided as standard in all Bath Mill Holiday Lodges.
Do the holiday lodges have a freezer?
The majority of our lodges feature a freezer in their well equipped kitchens, with the only exception being the Norland Lodge, which have a mini kitchenette and slightly more limited self catering facilities.
Is Bath Mill pet friendly?
Bath Mill Lodge Retreat is a perfect destination for pet friendly holidays in Somerset, with a number of units allocated specifically for pet owners. This includes the Hartfield lodge and also the Pemberley lodge.
Please just let us know when you are booking your holiday if you are planning on bringing your pet with you so we can ensure that you get a pet allocated unit.
What attractions are there near Bath Mill?

What can I expect in my Bath holiday lodge?
You may find that some amenities in your holiday accommodation have been removed to ensure a safe stay for all, find out more here.
The majority of our lodges are fully equipped for self catering with full kitchen facilities including ovens, microwaves and fridge freezers. The only exception to this is the studio Norland Lodge which has a kitchenette featuring a microwave, toaster and kettle so that the essentials are covered.
Comfort and relaxation in a luxurious environment is a key feature we strive for at this resort, which is why all lodges are equipped with stylish but comfortable furnishing and bedding. You will also find a plethora of entertainment features including flat screen TVs with Freeview channels and Wi-Fi access.
Are any of the holiday lodges at Bath Mill available to purchase?
As much as we know that most of our customers would like to spend as much time as possible at Bath Mill Lodge Retreat, we unfortunately do not have any holiday homes for sale on our resort. All of our lodges are available for hire only for customers looking for luxury holidays in Bath.
Is Bath Mill a camping or touring site?
No, Bath Mill just features holiday lodges which are available for hire for luxury holiday breaks in Bath.
Is Bath Mill open all year?
Our resort is open all 12 months of the year.
Is free parking provided at Bath Mill Lodge Retreat all year?
Holiday makers staying at our resort will benefit from free parking. Many of our holiday lodges have parking spaces available right next to the accommodation, with one space allocated per lodge.
There is also free parking available for customers using The Brook Bar & Bistro.
Is there Wi-Fi internet access available?
Basic Wi-Fi internet access is provided free of charge for our customers staying at the resort. However, there is a higher speed Premium Wi-Fi package available for £14.95 which covers up to 10 devices if required.
What happened to Newton Mill Holiday Park?
Bath Mill used to be a camping and touring caravan site known as Newton Mill Holiday Park. Darwin Escapes ploughed in significant resources to completely overhaul this site and turn it into one of the most luxurious holiday lodge destinations in the region.
What is Darwin Escapes' dog policy?
We ask that no dogs, pets, or animals of any kind may occupy a non pet unit without the prior permission of the Park Manager. (This can be achieved by including your pet on your booking form to ensure you are allocated a pet-friendly unit).
a. Where allowed, all pets must at all times be kept under proper control and must not enter any facility building. (excluding guide dogs)
b. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times (unless in the dedicated dog areas) and prevented from fouling.
c. All fouling should be disposed of immediately in an appropriate manner.
d. In accordance with the Dangerous Dog Act 1991, the following breeds of dog are not permitted anywhere on the park at any time: Pit-bull Terrier Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero as well as any other breed at the Park Manager’s discretion.
