The stream nurtures many species of water life and the valley provides an ideal environment for wildlife which can be seen in abundance; a haven for flora and fauna just minutes from the city. Newly Renovated Facilities

Darwin Escapes invested heavily into this tired, old camping and touring site as part of a multi-million pound redevelopment, now Bath Mill Lodge Retreat has been made one of the most desirable holiday destinations in Somerset.

This redevelopment has led to stylish and heavily equipped holiday lodges, ranging from one to four bedrooms which are ideal for all types of holiday’s, including short city breaks, singles holidays or fun filled family holidays in Bath.

We have also invested heavily in the facilities on the resort, resulting in a stunning complex. This includes our brand new licensed bar and bistro, The Brook, named for Newton Brook which flows through the resort, is located in our tastefully refurbished 350-year-old mill house. Providing fabulous food and a great selection of beverages, you’ll be able to enjoy refreshments in a delightful setting. Keep fit during your stay in our fabulous modern gym, also housed in the sympathetically renovated mill; boasting all the latest equipment you’ll be able to enjoy a dessert at The Brook, without the guilt! A state-of-the-art suite is also available to hire, for business or for family functions.

  • This is our second visit in within the 3 months of this wonderful place opening.....It is Perfection, from the beautiful surroundings with the feel of nature on your doorstep yet only a stones throw away from the mesmerising City of Bath, and the lodges are of the highest standard we have stayed in, and we have travelled all over Britain and Europe. The Darwin Escapes group is in our opinion the best you can get. They cater for all scenarios from providing board games and streaming films, to the top quality of crockery/bedding/furniture etc in the lodges. The Restaurant/Bar is also...

We arrived on the Friday evening with our 2 children aged 9 and 10 years and we all were blown away with the surroundings. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, they advised us of local events taking place whilst on our stay. The first evening we ate in the bar on the resort, the menu was very varied and catered for all tastes, the children menu was also...

  • What a wonderful place! My partner and I went for just one night though we could have definitely stayed longer. It was certainly 5 star accommodation and worth every penny. Loved the floor lighting when you walked into the bathroom and toilet at night. Really comfortable bed with lots of room. Whole place was cleaned to a high standard. Kitchenette was ideal. Living area perfect with great TV and fire. We were lucky with weather to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. We had lunch in the restaurant the next day and it was really good. Staff are attentive...
