North Wales is famous for its countryside and glorious landscape, and there are plenty of areas in the nearby area just waiting to be explored in addition to Talacre Beach itself.
The park is located quite close to Snowdonia National Park, which is home to the biggest mountain in England and Wales standing at 3,560 feet. As well as scaling this iconic mountain on foot, you can take advantage of the exciting mountain biking routes or if you are looking for something a little more sedate you can head to Trawfynydd Lake and enjoy a spot of fishing.
Llandudno is another must visit destination in the nearby area, with its historic promenade and of course the Great Orme attraction where you will find an excellent toboggan course as well as a fake ski course for is perfect for beginners who are looking to get the grips with the sport.
Slightly closer to home is Greenfield Valley Heritage Park which is famous for its woodland walks, reservoirs and also its ancient ruins which is ideal for history buffs. This was once the home of Basingwerk Abbey which is now a grade 1 listed 12th century abbey which was erected by the Order of Cistercians. It remained in operation until the dissolution of the monasteries was organised by Henry VIII in 1536.
