The Poetry Archive is a not-for-profit organisation whose work is focused on recording poets reading their own work. The mission of the Archive is to make poetry accessible and enjoyable for a wide audience, as well as to ensure that important voices are captured for posterity. The voices of some significant 20th-century poets were never recorded, including great names such as Thomas Hardy and A. E. Housman. Those voices are lost for ever. The Poetry Archive exists to make sure that kind of omission doesn’t happen again. Over the last ten years, the Archive has worked to record over 400 poets reading their own work: it is the world’s largest collection of English-language audio poetry, with over 2,000 recorded poems freely available at www.poetryarchive.org.

The Winter Raffle aims to raise much needed funds to support the running costs of The Poetry Archive website whilst giving participants the chance to win a luxury holiday in exchange.
To take part, visit our donation page here and read the simple instructions.

Raffle tickets cost £5 each and the raffle will run from 7th December 2015 to midnight 11th January 2016.
