What’s on in Swanage for Easter 2017?

As well as the local area, Swanage is home to some fantastic entertainment from Charlie Bear and the Rangers; an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and the newly refurbished GYM SBV.

Easter Trail

At: Durlston Country Park When: 8th – 23rd April

Have an exciting time this Easter while following the trail around Durlston Country Park for a chance to win a delicious chocolate prize. Marvel at the culture and heritage on display with paintings, sketches and photographs from Hamish Murray on exhibition in the house.

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt

At: Studland Bay When: 7th – 23rd April

Just a stone’s throw away from Swanage Bay View, hop on down to Studland Bay and follow the clues around the nature reserve. You will be able to see the world through a bunny’s eyes and win a chocolatey prize at the end too!

Wolfshead Bowman

At: Corfe Castle When: 8th – 13th April

Join in on the medieval archery and bring the past to life! Corfe Castle is a beautiful place and is one of Dorset’s most popular attractions, try your hand at the medieval encampment, with demonstrations of combat, skilled archery displays and interesting talks on the longbows, as well as have-a-go sessions!

The Great Brownsea Story Book Adventure

At: Brownsea Island/Poole Harbour When: 8th April – 5th June

Cross over to Brownsea Island and enjoy the beautiful scenery around you, and learn all about how the legends are being challenged during the Story Book Adventure. You will discover the other side of the story on your trip across to Brownsea Island, isn’t it time someone helped out the bad guys? Do you think you could be their hero? Pop over to Brownsea and find out this Easter.

Scale Model Exhibition

At: Parkstone Grammar School When: 8th April

Visit the grammar school and witness one of the South’s biggest static scale model exhibitions with fascinating displays, including many aviation, military, transport, marine and sci-fi models. With over 100 tables to peruse, showcasing the art and craft of scale model making, you will love this exhibition, as well as there being trade stands, refreshments and a competition to enter too!

Eggciting Easter Activities


At: Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park When: 14th – 17th April

Come and celebrate spring at the farm! Meet and feed all the adorable baby animals at the farm, and keep an eye out for the Easter bunny! With 4 days of fantastic Easter egg hunts around the park, and face painting, you are sure to have an Easter holidays to remember, as well as lots of chocolate to eat!

Easter Food & Craft Fayre


At: AFC Bournemouth, Vitality Stadium When: 17th April

Visit the stadium and take a tour while marvelling at the finest produce, as well as arts and crafts. The Creating Station will be hosting brilliant creative Easter art session.

Easter Birdwatching Walk


At: Hengistbury Head When: 17th April

This event is perfect for nature lovers, you’ll get to see warblers, chats and waders on your travels, as well as some Marsh harrier, Dartford warblers and nesting herons! A Lovely way to spend the Easter holidays, out in and around the nature of beautiful Dorset!
