What’s on in Keswick for Halloween 2018?

Why not enjoy the October half-term in a luxury lodge our Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat in the stunning Lake District? Take your own little monsters on a holiday trip to remember and whilst you’re there take advantage of the fantastic spooky activities they are hosting across Keswick town for Halloween!

Keswick Ghost Walks

Where: The Moot Hall in the Town Centre / When: 29th – 30th Oct / Times: 8.30pm – 10pm

Explore Keswick in a whole new way, discover the history teeming with murder, intrigue and tortured souls. Journey around the historic town of the Lake District and listen to the spooky stories your guide will tell you along your tour.

Fun for Families

Where: Keswick Museum / When: Until 31st Dec / Times: 10am – 4pm

Endless family fun to be had at the Keswick Museum, including creative drawing modelling, being able to give the adorable fox and badger a cuddle, as well as playing on the Musical Stones of Skiddaw. Play dress up and turn into the Mary Jane Wise from a 1870 street painting, or become a Viking with a fabulous shield! There are also 10 different trails to follow, from patter and photos to find, lots of family fun to be had at the Keswick Museum.

Halloween Ghost Trains

Where: Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway / When: 26th – 27th Oct / Times Vary

Tickets include an all day travel, with reserved seat on the Ghost Train, tickets must be pre-booked and get in there quick as this is a hugely popular event! Take a trip into the darkness and keep a look out for all the ghouls and ghosts along the journey.

Appleby Festival of Fire & Light

Where: Appleby Castle / When: 28th Oct / Times: 5.30pm – 9pm

Take part in the lantern procession at 6pm, starting at Market Square and walking to the beautiful Appleby Castle. At the castle, you can enjoy lots of spooky activities, live street performances and wonderful circus performances!

Halloween Ghostly Galleon

Where: Ullswater Steamers / When: 27th Oct / Times: 12.30pm or 2.30pm

Join magician Stu-Di-Doo for lots of magic, mayhem and monsters aboard the Ghostly Galleon! Take the 90 minute trip and take in the magic show, join in on the Halloween colouring, get some temporary tattoos to add to your costume and take home your very own monster balloon! Every spook will also take home a creeptastic goodie bag.
