Visit the amazing castle and join in with the Nature Knight to explore the Pleasure Ground Wood, unlock the secret doors to reveal its changing seasons. Take part in the nature themed trail, get a leaflet from the Garden Gate and use it to discover the different types of wildflowers, birds and even bugs!

At: Ruthin Craft Centre When: 8th April

Try your hand at this workshop run by ceramicist Kirsti Hannah Brown. A drop in and enjoy event for all ages, you can make a pinch pot in terracotta clay which can be used as a night light! And don’t forget to explore the Ruthin town for stories of King Arthur and beautiful scenery, all with an historic background.

At: Plas Newydd House & Gardens When: 9th – 19th April

The Easter Bunny has hopped over the Menai Strait to visit his friend the Red Squirrel…but he just can’t seem to find him! Follow all the clues to help Bunny search for his missing friend and win a chocolatey prize at the end!

At: Portmeirion Village When: 14th – 17th April

Tumble down the rabbit hole into a Welsh wonderland at Portmeirion and enjoy the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on the picturesque piazza. This Italian style village has a huge cult following from the TV show, The Prisoner, and is one of Wales’ top attractions. During the Easter holidays you can dress up, drink magical potions and indulge in a fantasy afternoon tea, surrounded by the pastel coloured haven. Also join in on the Easter parade and hunt for eggs in the village grounds.

At: Bodelwyddan Castle When: 14th – 17th April

This beautiful castle is always worth a visit, with it’s stunning ground and picturesque castle you will love spending time here and even enjoying a bite to eat in the onsite restaurant. Explore the castle grounds and complete the Easter Bunny’s trail around the park and claim your chocolatey prize at the end!

At: Beaumaris Castle When: 15th – 17th April

Get transported back in time this Easter at Beaumaris Castle, with their Medieval Weekend and programme of activities. Including have-a-go archery, plenty of medieval games to learn about and try, Knightly combat displays and weapon demonstrations. Children can join the castle’s official Knight School and learn how to defend it from an enemy attack!

At: Denbigh Castle When: 16th April

Explore the historic castle, beautiful countryside and picturesque town this Easter. With Easter prizes to be awarded to the first children taking part in the Easter egg hunt, visitors are encouraged to arrive early. Search the castle and ground for a chocolatey treat!

At: Conwy Castle When: 16th April

Try to solve the trail to King Edward’s golden eggs, make sure to complete the trail to receive your very own golden egg! King Edward ruled from 1272 until 1307, and was said to have paid for over 400 eggs to be coloured and gold-leafed to be used has Easter gifts, so help solve the clues and you can even decorate one of the rooms!
