Are you visiting Newquay this summer and looking for family-fun things to do? This is the perfect post for you!

Summer of Science

At: Camel Creek Adventure Park, PL27 7RA
When: 2nd July – 2nd Sept, 10am – 5.30pm
Prices: Adult £19.95 / Child £14.95

One of Cornwall’s most popular family attractions, Camel Creek is throwing a summer of science fun, along with all the regular games, rides and 5D movies at the cinema. Full of fascinating facts, exciting experiments and silly scientists, discover where humans come from and mind-blowing facts about the multiverse. Learn facts like if you stretched all the DNA in your body it would reach from the Sun to Pluto and back, 17 times! (How amazing is that?!) Enjoy a day of fun, learning and rides at Camel Creek.

Newquay Harbour Sports Day

At: Newquay Harbour, TR7 1HF
When: 19th August, 11am Start
Prices: Free to Enter

A family fun annual event, where the harbour will host community sports with people competing in the water and on the beach. All events are free to participate, why not pop by and cheer them on! Prizes will be handed out in the afternoon to winners of the events, see what you can win and this brilliant sports day!

Newquay Lifeboat Day

At: Newquay Harbour, TR7 1HF
When: 20th August, 10am – 5pm
Prices: Free to Enter

A wonderful free event to help raise funds and awareness for the fantastic RNLI volunteers. With craft and activity stalls, food stands, live music and entertainment throughout the day. As well as demonstrations from the lifeboat and an appearance from the new coastguard helicopter at 3pm.

Cornwall Pride

At: Killacourt, TR7 1UJ
When: 26th August, 12noon – 2am
Prices: Free to Enter

A colourful and vibrant event with floats, walking bands, dance groups parading through Newquay and sharing the love! Join in with the family friendly Rainbow Fest afternoon event, with lots to see and do, including fun games to play, face painting, hot and cold food on offer, along with many craft and artisan stalls to browse. Relax with a drink from the bar and take in the live entertainment on hand until 7pm. From 7pm the Moonbow Party starts and is strictly an over 18’s event, with lots of live music and entertainment until 2am!

Octopus Treasure Trail & Dangerous Creatures

At: Newquay’s Blue Reef Aquarium, TR7 1DU
When: 17th – 31st August, 10am – 5pm
Prices: Adult £9.68 / Child £7.43 / Family £33.20

The beautiful octopus has misplaced her treasure and needs you to help her find it, you’ll even enter a prize draw at the end of the trail. Visit and discover the mysterious dangerous creatures at the aquarium, with special talks and feeds given throughout the day.

Paulo’s Circus

At: Treloggan, TR8 4QB
When: 13th July – 2nd Sept, times vary check their Facebook page
Prices: £7 per person (all shows)

Ideal for children of all ages, Paulo’s Circus is back in Newquay with a brand new 2017 show. With wonderful entertainment including clowns, music, comedy and death defying stunts all in the iconic pink Big Top Tent. Food, treats and drinks are all on hand for a fun family treat. A 2pm showing on 12th August has been specially designed for sensory sensitivity.

Piran Meadows is home to some fantastic activities on-park and in the local area, if you’re visiting this August make sure not to miss anything on this list! Visit the world famous sandy beaches and soak up the sun before returning back to your luxurious accommodation.
