These fun full day Adventure Clubs were such a hit that they are back by popular demand! There will be activities for all ages, including den building, camp fires, pond dipping, orienteering and so much more going on, the club is ideal for ages between 7 and 12. Clothes and shoes suitable for outdoor adventures are a must for this daily camp and booking is essential.

rocks & fossils

This family fun event will have you searching out rocks and fossils all over the museum and even your own garden when you get home! You will learn all about rocks and how to sort them like a Geologist, as well as finding out how fossils are formed and being able to make your own fossil before viewing and handling the museum’s fossil collection.

 

keswick agricultural show

At: Braithwaite, CA12 5TD
When: 27th August. Starts 10am.
Prices: Adult £8 / Child £2

The Agricultural Society was founded in 1860 and is one of the oldest societies in Keswick. The aim of the show is to encourage improvements in the Breed of Stock, management of land and in the general promotion of agriculture. At the show, there are cattle, ponies, horses, dogs, sheep and poultry as well as an industrial marquee for home produce, handicrafts, art and crafts and a unique vintage display. Enjoy Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling fell races and children’s amusements. Plus there will be over 60 trade-stands to stroll around and find yourself a bargain.
