Sea Monsters & Mermaids Story Workshop

At: The Beach Creative, CT6 5PT
When: 12th August, 10am – 12noon

Explore wonders of mythical sea creatures and make your own book to take home and show your friends and family! Writer, creative writing tutor and poetry therapist, Nicky Thompson runs this fabulous workshop, guaranteed fun for all ages!

Herne Bay Carnival

At: Herne Bay, CT6
When: 12th August, 4pm – ‘till late
Price: Free to Enter

A community carnival organised by fabulous local volunteers. See Miss Herne Bay and her Princesses on a float through Herne Bay town centre. See a range of wonderful floats through the procession and join in on the Carnival Dance during the night. A fantastic family event.

Dinosaur World

At: The Marlowe, CT1 2AS
When: 11th – 13th August, 10am & 1.30pm Showings
Prices: From £8.75 to £16.25 (depending on show times)

Dare to experience the dangers and delights of Dinosaur World? Marvel at this brand new interactive show for all the family. Join the explorer on a journey of uncharted territory and discover a pre-historic world! Meet a whole host of dinos, including a T-Rex and Triceratops, all live on stage, with special ‘meet and greet’ of the dinosaurs for 15 minutes after the show.

Kids Go Free in August

At: Howletts Wild Animal Park, CT4 5EL

See conservation in action at Howletts, Kent’s original wildlife park, and a conservation charity which is helping to protect wildlife and send animals back to the wild! Over 400 animals in residence, as well as Kent’s only anteaters, and the largest heard of African Elephants in the UK! There is also more gorillas, tigers, leopards and monkeys at Howletts than any other zoo in the UK.

Murder Mystery

At: Whitstable Castle, CT5 2BW

Join the 368 Theatre Company and solve the latest Morlington Mystery. You will time travel to 1938, where the Morlington railway children have discovered a body in the blackberry bush, was it a poisoned cheese and onion that did it? The ticket price includes a welcome drink, delicious 3 course meal and a first class entertainment on this fabulous and fun night out!

Medieval Story Garden

At: The Canterbury Tales, CT1 2TG
When: Throughout the Summer Holidays, 10am – 5pm
Prices: Adult £9.95 / Child £7.95 / Family £28.50

Take the Canterbury Tales tour and pilgrimage from London to Canterbury while hearing 5 of Geoffrey Chaucer’s most famous tales, all under one roof, being guided by fabulous actors. Visit the Medieval Story Garden during the summer holidays, enjoy the Astrolabe Demonstrations, study Medieval medicine and become a healer or try your hand at Knight School and be knighted by a Knight Master.
