Summer is finally here and not only is the sun making an appearance but there are also an abundance of stars set to shine on the Llandudno stage.
With trips back to the 60’s, superb dancing from Strictly Come Dancing Professionals, comedy shows which will leave you in stitches and musicals galore, you’re spoilt for choice at Venue Cymru this Summer.

Let’s Twist Again
When: July 13th 2018
If you or someone you know is a fan of the Rock’n’Roll era where the likes of Elvis, The Beatles, Frankie Valli and Cilla were all the big names in the music industry, then you will not want to miss the return of this fabulous show. With songs performed by critically acclaimed artistes and musicians you’ll be guaranteed a great night of twisting and singing!
Llandudno Youth Music Theatre presents Barnum
When: July 20th 2018
Since the realise of The Greatest Showman the story of Barnum has become more widely known and for one night only Llandudno Youth Music Theatre will be celebrating its 40th year of performance with this all singing, all dancing, tightrope walking, juggling, trapeze and death defying spectacular showcase!

The Proclaimers Live 2018
When: July 22nd 2018
Scottish twins Craig & Charlie Reid aka The Proclaimers are back with songs from their 11th studio album and some old classics too! If you’re looking for a great night of live music then this is the choice for you!
Kevin & Karen Dance Live Tour
When: July 26th 2018
The Strictly Come Dancing Professionals are set to return to Llandudno this year following the success of their sell-out debut tour last year.
This year the power pair are back with a brand new show which is packed full of all the classic dances Strictly fans know and love. Including the Waltz, Cha Cha, Fox Trot, Tango and Salsa. Expect high-energy performances, dazzling costumes and plenty of sass and get ready to be blown away by this Kevin and Karen dance show.
Fame – The Musical
When: 6th to 11th August 2018
Fame The Musical is back for its 30th anniversary tour. This special UK tour will star Keith Jack best known for his role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Mica Paris of Love Me Tender and Chicago and Jorgie Porter known for her role on Hollyoaks and star of Dancing On Ice.
The storyline is based on the 1980 hit pop culture film which follows the lives of students at New York’s High School for the Performing Arts. It’s a must-see for any musical fans.
When: 21st August to 2nd September 2018
This smash hit musical based on the story and characters from the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, promises to be perfect for the whole family. The Shrek the musical cast also has plenty of faces that audiences are bound to recognise.
Join Shrek, (played by Steffan Harri) and his loyal steed Donkey as they set off on a typical fairy tale quest to rescue a beautiful Princess called Fiona (played by X-Factors Amelia Lily) from her tower which is guarded by a dragon. With plenty of humour and sing-a-long songs, this gives an exciting mix to a traditional fairy tale.
Sci-Fi Wales 2018
When: 1st September 2018
Head to Venue Cymru this September for the perfect family event. Scifi Wales will host celebrity guests, Q&A sessions, prop displays and cosplay. There will also be competitions to take part in, photo opportunities, autograph room and plenty more!
An Evening with Ant Middleton
When: 7th September 2018
Many of you may recognise Ant Middleton, he’s known for his survival programmes and pushing himself to the limits in crazy challenges that some of us would only dream of doing! He will be touring across the UK and stopping in Llandudno this September, so be prepared for a one man show packed full of accounts of his life as an ex elite forces solider and his many adventures including plenty of gossip from behind the scenes of his many TV shows.
The Play That Goes Wrong
When: 10th to 15th September 2018
The West End’s Olivier Award winning box office hit, The Play That Goes Wrong, is heading back on the road, following the sell-out success of the last tour, and returning to the seaside town of Llandudno.
For those who haven’t seen this hilarious show before, The Play That Goes Wrong (which is packed full of comedy and features Buster Keaton inspired slapstick) introduces The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society who are attempting to put on a 1920’s murder mystery, but as the title suggests, there is a chance things don’t go quite to plan… so if you fancy an evening of laughter this is a show you won’t want to miss!
