Tilford Woods Lodge Retreat is perfectly placed in Surrey, being under an hour’s train journey from our stunning capital, but still manage to have the peace and tranquility of the countryside to come home to. London is spectacular this time of year, and is second to none when it comes to Christmas cheer. The Christmas Markets at the Tate Modern are stunning to look at and stroll through, with gifts and crafts for everyone.

The pretty wooden chalets will be filling the space between the Tate and the Thames, filling it with lights and Christmas cheer! There’ll be handmade wooden toys, unique jewellery, intricate tree and house decorations, china keepsakes and even lighting and lanterns. Festive food is also on offer, with tasty crepes, German sausages and a variety of roasted nuts. Have a go at the wonderful Victorian Carousel, entertain the little ones with the smaller kids rides and visit the man of the hour Santa, in his cheery grotto! There will be festive music playing throughout to help you keep up that Christmas cheer, and then you can jump back on the train, leave the busy crowds behind and relax in the peace and quiet of Tilford Woods.
