Music, comedy and seasonal shows complete the line-up for Rhyl Pavilion’s Winter shows…

The Winter months are the perfect time to take advantage of the dark nights and cheer up the blues by heading to the theatre!

So whether you’re looking for a last minute Christmas gift for the theatre-lover in your life or looking to find a laugh-a-minute show packed full of entertainment – Rhyl Pavilion is sure to have something to suit.

We’ve put together our top picks of this seasons shows. Keep reading to take a peek at what’s coming up at the Rhyl Pavilion for Winter 2018/19…


Aladdin Pantomime

When: 12th December 2018 – 5th January 2019

Don’t miss this fantastic family performance which will take you on a magical ride following Aladdin as he tries to convince Prince Jasmine to marry him whilst also protecting the genie in the lamp from the evil villain Abanazar played by former Emmerdale star, Jonathan Wrather!

Max Boyce

When: 26th January 2019

Legendary Welsh entertainer, Max Boyce, is returning for another show in 2019! He has been entertaining people all over the world for more than 40 years and has now had his 2018 tour extended into 2019. The tour has already received fantastic reviews and is a must see according to those who have already caught the show during 2018.


Dan Snow

When: 29th January

Rhyl Pavilion welcomes audience to an evening with the historian, presenter and broadcaster Dan Snow as he talks through a range of UK history and also his memorable experiences from his successful career. They’ll be chance for a Q&A… so get your questions ready!


The Searchers

When: 1st February

The Searchers will be doing a Farewell Tour in 2019 after more than 50 years in the business! Audiences will be able to swing along to songs such as Sweets For My Sweet; Needles and Pins; Don’t Throw Your Love Away; Sugar and Spice and When You Walk In The Room and also listen to reminiscences of their wonderful career.


The Legends of American Country

When: 14th February 2019

Enjoy a jam-packed trip back to Nashville for an evening of classic country music! Just four singers (Joe Moore, James Mc Garrity, Rod and Tracey Mc Auley) will perform hit songs from some of countries most loved iconic singers including Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, and Don Williams!

If you love country music you will not want to miss this show!


Thank ABBA for the Music

When: 9th March 2019

Get ready for the ultimate party with plenty of ABBA tunes including Fernando, Mamma Mia, Take a Chance on Me and many more! This two-hour theatre spectacular will capture all of the exccitment when ABBA first launched and changed the history of pop music. So get your best flared jeans on and head down to the Rhyl Pavilion to experience first-hand the buzz of these songs being performed live!


Sooty’s Magic Show

When: 10th March 2019

Izzy Wizzy let’s get busy! That’s right… Sooty is returning for a brand new show ‘Lough Out Loud Magic’! Audiences are promised to be wowed with impossible tricks and side-splitting jokes so get ready to see Sooty’s flying car, Soo’s singing unicorn and Sweep’s levitating sausage! There will also be special guests!


Jason Manford: Muddle Class

When: 14th March

The popular comedian is back for an extra date as part of his Muddle Class tour! The Salford born comedian who is best known for appearances on ‘8 out of 10 Cats’ (Channel 4), ‘Live at the Apollo’ (BBC One), ‘Have I Got News For You’ (BBC One), recently presenting the show ‘Bigheads’ on ITV and for also hosting an Absolute Radio show.

Jason will talk about how he grew up in a working class background but how after years of success he’s found himself in a middle class background and how much confusion this has caused!
