Is 2015 going to be the warmest year on record for the UK?

2014 was marked as being the warmest year since systematic records began in 1880. Researchers saw average global temperatures rise over the oceans and the land alike. NASA expects that temperature records will continue to get broken, driven by the underlying longterm global warming.

On the plus side for tourists, it looks like this summer could be even hotter than last year. Visits to the beach may soon be comparable to Mediterranean getaways with warmer waters, higher temperatures and better tans!

So far, 2015 has brought us a short winter giving way to warmer spring days. The long-range forecast has predicted that April and May will be above average in temperature. This will hopefully spell the start of a summer that tops last year’s 32 degrees Celsius record.
