The daramatic scenery of The Lake District is the perfect setting for Halloween, take a look at what’s on offer

On the edge of the Lake District, Thanet Well Lodge Retreat‘s surroundings lend themselves to the spookiness of Halloween, it is the perfect place to relax in your lodge and watch a scary movie. Here are some events to have a scream at this Halloween!

halloween trail

Halloween at The Allan Bank Woodland Park in Grasmere is fun for all the family! Venture into the woodland and see how many spooky pumpkins you can find along the trail! Ranger tips and fun activity sheets will make this trail great for the kids, you can draw the pumpkin faces as you go! Peak in to the spine-tingling tunnel, if you dare, and see what you can find. If you spot six or more pimpkins you could win a prize! Fangtastic family fun in the woodland this Halloween!

the penrith halloween festival

The festival was a huge success last year (2014), with great atmosphere and loads of fun, ghostliness and music there is something for everyone! There will be workshops, stalls, competitions and the spooky Phantom Parade. Fancy dress is fully encouraged, pick your best outfit, join the ghost trail and see how many you find floating around town! Enter the fancy dress competition and see how your ghoul fairs up next to everyone else. Or jump on a ride with the headless horseman carriage and see the town from a different view! With so much going on, it really would be a shame to miss it.

little monster crafts

This lovely little event is perfect for the kids, in the spooktacular surroundings of the stunning Allan Bank Woodland you can get crafty on the lead up to Halloween! Getting you in the ghoulish spirit of the season you can make horrifying Halloween masks, wonderful witches hats or a bountiful basket for all the trick or treat sweets! Have a blast with the kids and see how creative you all are!

Happy Halloweening ghosts and ghouls! Have a fangtastic half term and Halloween!
