half term in Bath

Bath is one of the most historic cities in the UK, with lots of spooky and fun goings on in the city. Bath Mill Lodge Retreat is the perfect place to base yourself this Halloween half term, being only a few minutes away from the busy city centre you can go and enjoy all the Halloween hijinks and retreat to the relaxing peace of your lodge after a good ol’ scare!


Spooky Fun at Avon Valley

When: 22nd – 30th Oct. Time: 10am – 5.30pm. Prices: £8.50 (adult) £9.50 (child)

Half term is having a spooky make over at Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park, with the Witch and Wizard School themed week! Along with all the normal activities to indulge in, the children can learn how to drive a broomstick, how to scare each other silly, they will make wizard or witches hats, carve a Halloween pumpkin and visit the Spooky Laboratory with and extra special spooky tour!


FEAR at Avon Valley

When: 21st – 31st Oct. Time: 6pm – 10pm. Prices: Ranges on what you want to see. £9 – £80

Once the day ends at Avon Valley the scary stuff comes out, this event is rated a 12A but anyone under 15 must have an adult with them, this is a live action scary event not for the faint hearted. Ticket prices range depending on want you want to visit, there are spooky street performances, 3 live action mazes as well as a bar and good food on offer, with VIP and fast track access tickets available. This is a multi award winning event, that was even nominated for the Best Scare Maze in Europe, with a KILLZONE shoot out experience, stilt walkers, scary fire show and live music. Anarchy is one of the live action scare zones and is brand new for 2016, enter a production studio for the anarchy games for the ultimate brutal cat and mouse game. Or try your nerve in Phobia, where human testing went well last year in the clinical trails with participants undergoing extreme phobia reconditioning. Then venture into Purgatory, where HM Prison Valley is under lock down after a prisoner tried, and failed, to escape, now the whole place is in a riot and you have to enter and get everyone out safely… These live action events are sure to scare you silly while have bone-chilling fun along the way!


Haunted Haynes Week at Haynes International Motor Museum

When: 22nd – 30th Oct. Time: 9.30am – 4.30pm. Prices: £13.95 (adult) £8.25 (child)

One of the most celebrated motor museums in the world has a fun half term Halloween event, with pumpkin carving, face painting and a chance to complete the Ghostly Charlie Crow Treasure Trail around the museum. Also any child in full fancy dress enters for free!
