half term tours

Where: Pirate Quest
When: 11th – 19th Feb

Pirate Quest is fun for all the family – be one of the first to explore a brand new adventure to see if you have what it takes to escape the Pirate Hunters! This brand new storyline will be holding preview tours for February half term. In 1721 a Pirate Hunter’s shop called the ‘Royal Anne’ left England with the intentions of sailing to the Caribbean to capture Pirates. But the ship didn’t make the voyage and ended up wrecking off the coast of Cornwall, and this is where your adventure begins! A real live Pirate will rescue you and lead you through the mystical caves and murky 18th Century streets, in the hopes of escaping the Pirate Hunters who are hot on your tail! This family fun, interactive activity is one of the most popular in South Cornwall, once you have got a lead on the Pirate Hunters you will be invited to the Tavern, where you will decide if you are brave enough to enter the ‘scare section’ of the tour, or want to finish up eating some delicious grub!

seal pup season

Where: Cornish Seal Sanctuary
When: 11th – 19th Feb

The Sanctuary provides a lifeline for stray, sick and injured seals and seal pups that are discovered around the Cornish coastline. When someone spots a seal in distress – a member of the public will give them a call, alerting them to a seal in need of help. They then attend and assess the situation, sometimes providing swift medical care and sending the healthy seal on its way, or for more serious cases returning to the sanctuary with seal in tow, ready for treatment, rehabilitation and release back into the wild. Sometimes they are called to take in a seal pup, who through many reasons maybe lost on the coast, and pups need a lot of attention and fish! Pup season is called so because over 60 seal pups are rescued almost every year along the Cornish coastline. Book a Breakfast with Seals experience and join the team and seals before the Sanctuary is open, enjoy a full cooked breakfast, a VIP tour and feeding session with the seals!
