Axbridge Christmas Markets 2016
When: every weekend
In the amazing 400 year old market square there will be 25 stalls lined up with all foodie delights you could ever want! From free range poultry, game that is currently season, firewood for those traditional log burners and delicious French patisserie offerings too. These markets will be on every weekend on the run up to Christmas, but will take on more of a festive feel as we get closer to the big day. Please note, that turkey orders will be taken closer to Christmas.
Bristol Christmas Markets 2016
In the middle of the city centre lies the Bristol Christmas Markets, a must-visit event for anyone in the area, with over 45 traditional wooden chalets lining the streets for you to browse. They will help provide creative and crafty ideas for Christmas gifts and decorations, as well as delicious food and drink on offer. There are plenty of independent boutiques and department stores for the run of the mill Christmas shopping, and then you can take a step back in time to explore St. James’ Arcade, a Grade II listed Victorian Shopping Arcade with a collection of quirky boutiques and cute cafes. The Bristol Christmas Markets will play host to handmade goodies, churros, mouth watering food, choice of cheeses, warming mulled wine and traditional mince pies!
Glastonbury Frost Fayre 2016
When: 26th Nov
This annual extravaganza of seasonal magnificence will blow you away! Glastonbury is only a 20 minute drive from Cheddar Woods, and is a marvel to be seen, on the 26th November there will be stalls and late night shopping until 8pm. This is a time when the community comes together to celebrate peace and goodwill to all at this time of year, the colourful high street will be filled with a friendly family atmosphere, with cakes, cookies, treats, burgers, hot dogs, clothes, jewellery and handmade gifts. With live performances from local bands, rides, a carousel, games, face painting, buskers and even a wonderful Santa’s Grotto in the Abbey grounds to have a stroll through. There will also be uniquely Glastonbury gifts, such as lotions, potions and aura fixing delights! There will also be massages available in the square from Bodyessences Massages, a place to unwind before heading back out to the Christmas Frost Fayre!
