Thanet Well is the perfect base to enjoy the Lake District’s many events this August Bank Holiday!
With the endless fields and stunning scenery Thanet Well Lodge Retreat in the breathtaking the Lake District is a great place to visit, and there is loads to do this August Bank Holiday, so here are a few of our favourite picks…
solfest
When: 26th – 28th August
This is one of the most loved summer festivals! With over 90 acts on 7 distinct stages, Solfest is an independent festival that has something for everyone. Try out the acoustic stage, the love shack or longevity, a tent which has comfy sofas and chairs to listen to the music (my kind of festival!). There will also be a kids area and plenty of walkabout performers and a relaxing healing area to explore, as well as the fabulous traders village for a little retail therapy too.
wannasee festival
When: 26th – 28th August
Another family friendly festival over the August Bank Holiday in the Lake District. Wannasee features a plethora of tribute bands to the world’s greatest artists, from the 60’ to present day, all in a family fun atmosphere! Live music and entertainment the whole family can enjoy, with kids entertainers, food and drink including delicious real ale and a wide range of cocktails. With tributes to Michael Jackson, Take That, KISS, Bruno Mars, Aerosmith and many more, it’s like the jukebox to your life! Wannasee, the music you wanna see…see what they did there?
hayes garden’s fairy world
When: Throughout the summer holidays.
Visit Hayes Garden’s magical relm and transform into a fairy while you sit down with Woody, the wonderful woodland gnome, who will tell you the story of the Enchanted Forest and the six fairies who live there. Then you can go off to explore the Enchanted Forest, see the little fairy doors, and see if you can catch a glimpse of a fairy at the wishing pond! Treats and eats will be available at the Toadstool Café and don’t forget your fairy goodie bag and memorable photo, this wonderful attraction is open to young and old alike as you are never too old for fairies! They get very busy during the summer so please ring to book a time slot.
