Visiting Mullion Cove and looking for something to do this August Bank Holiday? Here are a few of our favourite events going on in the local area…

Cornwall is a stunning part of the UK and Mullion Cove Coastal Retreat is no exception to this rule, with a breathtaking harbour and wonderful nature walks to entertain you this August Bank Holiday, you may not even need events around the local area to keep you busy!

heartlands market weekend

When: 27th – 28th August
The Heartlands Market is a local staple around the town, only a 40 minute trip from Mullion Cove Coastal Retreat itself, the market is teaming with a wide range of local produce and crafts. Set in beautiful surroundings you can marvel at local crafts, including glass artisans and hand made gifts, as well as delicious goodies from locally sauced food, including cheeses, ciders and ales on offer too. There are refreshments available at the wonderful Red River Café to grab a cuppa and a cake!

flambards firework spectacular

Flambards is a fun place to visit all year round, with loads of attractions and rides to entertain the whole family, including different indoor and outdoor play areas for the kids, as well as the larger rides such as the sky swinger, thunderbolt, the space race or the demon drop for the adventure seekers out there! This August Bank Holiday Flambards will be lighting up the sky with their fantastic firework display after hours, and your ticket to the fireworks will be an all day ticket for the rides too! Double the fun!

cornwall folk festival

One of the most fun family festivals in Cornwall that has been hugely popular in the region for 44 years, the Cornwall Folk Festival has been bringing people from all walks of life together to enjoy the sultry sounds of the singers on stage. Ralph McTell, the winner of the BBC2 Lifetime Achievement Award, is headlining the festival this year and is a must see talented artist. There will be mouth watering Cornish made pasties on offer, along with delicious locally brewed ale and cider too, and as well as seeing the talented musicians there will be workshops to join in with, learning how to draw cartoons, and open mic events.

cornwall pride

Cornwall Pride is Cornwall’s premier LGBT event, celebrating equality and love for all with a fantastically fun and family event! Starting with a parade, heading towards the family picnic at Victoria Gardens where there will be entertainment, craft and trade stalls, raffles and so much more to entertain and delight. With the evening bringing a bar, live music and dancing, heading into the after party event! A great fun, colourful event for all the family to enjoy and support the LGBT community!
