Visit Hawkchurch this August for a fabulous time in August this year!

Honiton Show

At: Nags Head Road, Honiton, EX14 3AW

When: 3rd August, 8am – 4pm

Prices: Adults £14.50 / Child Free

Join the 127th Honiton Agricultural Show, one of the largest one-day shows in the UK. Soak up the unique atmosphere blending traditional and new, the main ring will be a hive of activity, with the Bolddog Lings Freestyle Motorcross, who are Honda’s official and the UK’s number one motorcycle display team. The sheep show, a hilarious and educational live stage show all about sheep! A showcase of the best of local farming, produce, craft and rural skills!


Time Trail Thursdays

At: Killerton House, EX5 3LE

When: 10th, 17th, 24th & 31st August, 11am – 3pm

Prices: £3 per child

Head back in time to the Iron Age this summer with a range of activities with an archaeological twist. Follow the time trail to a time when people lived in a hill fort on the clump and try your hand at a variety of archaeological and Iron Age inspired activities.


Woofstock UK

At: Coronation Park, TQ6 9RR

When: 5th August, 9am – 4.30pm

Prices: From £3,72 – £18.31 (tickets prices vary)

Woofstock is a festival by dogs, for dogs and a huge fun family day out! The day is set up from a dogs point of view, what would a dog want at a festival? The main area hosting dog shows such as waggiest tail, best in show, golden oldie etc. As well as an agility course, fun demonstrations and more. There will also be live music, food and drink stalls and an inflatable pub! There is will also be a chill out zone for the dogs, with doggy ice cream and even doggy massages! A truly dog-friendly day out.


Ghost Tour

At: Cavern Prehistoric Caves, TQ1 2SU

When: 28th June – 1st Sept, starts 4.30pm

Prices: Adult £10 / Child £10

Do something different with your evenings, experience the famous Summer Evening Ghost Tours… if you dare! Can you make it round the dimly lit cave system – you never know who will jump out of the dark!


Alice Afternoon Tea

At: Seale-Hayne, TQ12 6SU

When: 1st July – 31st August, 12noon – 5pm

Prices: £15 for 2 people

Enjoy a delicious afternoon tea at Seale-Hayne, with a fantastic Alice in Wonderland theme. Indulge in cakes, scones, sandwiches and a pot of tea for 2! Join in on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until the end of August.


Looking in Wonderland

At: Seale-Hayne, TQ12 6SU

When: 1st July – 28th August, 10am – 4pm

Prices: Free to Enter

Journey down the rabbit hole into Lewis Carroll’s fantastically weird world, where nothing is quite what it seems and adventure awaits! Hosting the Looking in Wonderland exhibition featuring Sir John Tenniel’s iconic illustrations from first editions of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There. As well as a range of family events such as Wonderland Treasure Hunt, Flamingo Croquet, tea parties and print making workshops. Jump into a world of nonsense and riddles this August!

After a full day’s exploring you can retreat back to Hawkchurch Resort & Spa for some much need rest, soaking up the beautiful views from your private decking and wonderful hot tub.
