Studland Beach has a programme of events throughout the summer channeling the fabulous Rio Olympics and celebrating the National Trust Summer of Sports! With events to join in such beach volleyball, table tennis, slack lining and kite surfing, as well as the Studland Sports competition! Follow the Dune Trail challenge to find the skipathon and the spacehopper speedway! Also for the little ones why not join in on the ‘Here be the Dragons’ hunt, find the dragonflies and many mini-dragons that live in the nature reserve, like the sand lizards, and make your own dragonfly or mini dragon at craft tables too.

The annual Wings & Wheels weekend is in it’s 17th year with its amazing variety of vintage and classic aircraft, with a huge selection of classic and American cars to marvel at too! A day of great food, drink and a family friendly atmosphere with plenty of kids activities, including bouncy castles, face painting and walkabout entertainers! Pure family fun with a fabulous air show as well!

Corfe Castle is a National Trust site filled with fun this summer! Visit the Adventure on the high seas exhibition and meet Sir Frances Drake, he will recount his 3 year journey around the globe, returning in 1580 when he became the first captain to have successfully sailed around the world (and looted it too!). The Elizabethan Music & Dance exhibition showcases an important part of Tudor life, and you can try your own hand at playing musical instruments from the era as well as learning popular dances of the day! There will be plenty of Tudor games and pastimes, along with learning how Shakespere helped to create an age of mass entertainment, with food and drink on offer at the banquet court too.

This charming annual field day is a traditional village fete, with a brass band to entertain, along with a craft marquee, children’s entertainers, amusements and bouncy castles. There will also be dog agility shows, as well as a flower show and a great horse show jumping competition to marvel at. Try your luck at the grand raffle or tombola. Refreshments and afternoon tea will be on offer, as well as a BBQ and beer tent to tickle your taste buds!
